DC Strings Silence the Violence

Tickets are $20, all sales and donations directly benefit the TraRon Center, helping those affected by gun violence heal through the arts https://traroncenter.org. The evening will also include a silent auction for a garden trowel sculpted by artist Stephanie Mercedes from a gun confiscated by DC Metropolitan Police, with all monies raised directly benefitting the TraRon Center.

Featuring a mix of classical and pop music, this year’s concert artists are the Accord Symphony Orchestra, DC Strings Workshop’s flagship ensemble, which, under the direction of Dr. Juan Gallastegui, is dedicated to bringing music to underserved communities in the District, Maryland and Virginia; Nikita Borisevich and Margarita Loukachkina, a dynamic violin and piano duo combo who headlined the Arts Council’s May concert; and bass/baritone soloist (and DC native) Christian Simmons.
